01The shared list

One list. Everyone's phone.

Add oat milk on the bus and it's on everyone's list before you're home. Each item says who added it and the bit that matters, like “unwaxed” or “the Barista one”, sorted by aisle.

  • Live for everyoneChanges appear on every phone in the house as they happen.
  • Running lowOne tap flags a staple with a quiet dot instead of a loud badge.
  • Ticked goes in the basketDone items drop out of the way, and you can put them back.
  • Works offlineAdd things in the basement shop; it syncs when you're back online.

02Store runs

Tom's at Lidl. Add anything for ten minutes.

Start a store run and the house gets a ping. For the next ten minutes, whatever anyone adds lands on your list straight away, outlined, with their name on it. No more “can you grab…” messages after you've paid.

  • One tap to startPick the shop; everyone at home sees who's out.
  • Done, then splitFinish the run and the receipt is ready to split.

03Tiles

Big tiles for the aisle.

In the shop, switch your list to Tiles: big squares tinted by aisle that you can hit with one thumb, basket in the other hand. One tap and it's in the basket.

  • Tinted by aisleProduce, dairy and household at a glance, quantities in the corner.
  • Staples one tap awayBananas, coffee, bread: add the usual suspects without typing.
Groceries as Tiles: green, blue and yellow squares for lemons, oat milk, eggs, toilet roll and bin bags, with avocados already in the basket.

04Paste a list

Paste the list from the group chat.

From Notes, a recipe or a message, paste it as it is. Fridgedoor reads one thing per line, picks up amounts like “2x” or “500 g” and guesses the aisle.

With Plus, Apple's on-device AI tidies it properly. “Some oat milk pls” becomes Oat milk, and “bread and jam” becomes two things. It runs on your iPhone, so nothing you paste leaves it.

Pasted from the family chat
  1. some oat milk pls
  2. 2 packs of spaghetti
  3. bread and jam
  4. chicken thighs 500g for dinner
  5. cat food
  6. shampoo
  7. bin bags

An example of the result; the model's wording can vary. Tidy up needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence.

05Coming in v1.1

Chores and money, minus the awkward chats.

v1.1

A rota that runs itself.

Chores rotate every Monday, the bins get a reminder, and swapping is one tap. No leaderboards, no public shaming.

The Chores tab: tonight, take the bins out, with Done and Ask to swap buttons, and this week's rota for Tom, Jo, Sam and you.
v1.1

Who owes whom, at a glance.

Split a shop or a bill, see each person's balance, and settle up when it suits you. The numbers always add up.

The Money tab: you owe €12.40 to Jo for the Lidl run, Tom owes you €8.20, and Sam is settled.

06The rest of the fridge door

Wifi, bin day and the projector vote.

Home shows what needs you today. The things a house normally sticks on the fridge live there too.
